If you’re somehow, for whatever reason, inspired to start golfing, watching those top players playing it looks like they hit the ball well pretty easily doesn’t it? What you need to know before getting started at golf is how to best go about it.
Essential things I found from my experiences
What basic information about golf you should know before play? Let s start from very basic.
A round” of golf holes usually 18 or 9 holes! -this means you can play 9 holes or 18 holes only
If you notice that all every hole that have different par, par -3, par 4 or par -5 what they are mean ?
In golf, "par" is the number of strokes an expert golfer is expected to need to complete an individual hole, Holes typically are listed as par-3, par-4 or par-5, for Example par 3 mean it expected to complete the hole in 3 strokes 😀
Play each hole completed less strokes then par in each hole that most golfers try to archive
Then they have words name in different when you play under par, like..............
Birdie – A “Birdie” is a score of one stroke under par on an individual hole.
For example, you completed 2 strokes on a par-3 hole, 3 strokes on a par-4 hole, or 4 strokes on a par-5 hole.
Eagle – (I have never done this😆) An “Eagle” is a score of two strokes under par . For example, you completed 2 strokes on a par-4 hole or 3 strokes on a par-5 hole.
While a hole-in-one (one stroke) on a par-3 could be described as an eagle, it’d more commonly be referred to as a “hole-in-one”
Bogey (my favorite score recently 🤪) this one stroke more than par to finish a hole, than you make a “bogey.”
Double Bogey -two stroke more than par to finish a hole. I also have done triple bogey.
